Hair Extensions
Fusion hair extensions is the art of applying small bundles of extension hair to your own hair. This art creates longer and/or fuller looking hair. We offer 2 types of Fusion hair extensions: Hot/Heat Fusion and Micro-Link/Cold Fusion.
CONSULTATION
A $50 Extension Consultation is required to determine length, volume, and color. The $50 is applied to the total cost when the purchase is completed.
Hot/Heat Fusion
This fusion technique uses extension hair with a flat tipped bond of a ‘Polyamide” hot melt adhesive. This tip is melted at a temperature of 325degrees for 2 to 3 seconds (your flat iron runs around 375 to 450). When the bond liquefies it is formed to a shape similar to a thin shoe lace tip, and secures the new hair in place.
Hot Fusion does not slide or release until we remove them in 3 months. This hair can be re-tipped for re-use at a later time. (Re-tipping fees apply).
Micro-Link / Cold Fusion
This fusion technique has a cylinder shaped (shoe-lace) tip of extension hair that is applied to your hair. We use a small latch hook to pull your hair through a ‘shell’. We then slide your new cylinder tipped hair into the ‘shell’ and close it flat to hold your new hair in place.
Cold Fusion uses no heat or glue. They may slip if brushed vigorously. These extensions may be removed and re-applied on the same day. If some bonds slip between appointments, they may be re-applied.
Maintenance
We suggest a monthly appointment to check your bond points for tangles and growth. At 3 months, we highly suggest removing them and placing them close to the scalp to ensure beautiful and healthy hair.
